Microwave Medical Imaging in a Non-Invasive Breast Cancer Diagnosis System
نویسندگان
چکیده
The most osteophyl cancer diagnosed amongst women is breast cancer. It’s incidence depends on antecedents, on race, on environment, medication and life quality, but it is arising to all ages and it is not forgiving patient ignorance. Easy, non-harmful ways of cancer detection implemented nowadays, became more accessible for all the possible subjects. The main non-invasive methods of breast abnormal area detection are conceived using the optical reflection, and respectively infrared and (our approach) microwave body emission. Noninvasive methods have the advantage of the possibility to be repeated as often as necessary for grow rate or remission survey, essential in diagnosis. Microwave radiometry has been implemented in a complex installation in the Bioengineering Faculty scientific research laboratory, by a multi-disciplinary team. Key-Words: Infrared images, microwaves emission, scintigraphy, SPECT, PET, breast cancer detection, magnetic shielded room.

The role of 99mTc-MIBI scientimammography in diagnosis of breast cancer
Scientimammography (SMM) is a new non-invasive method of imaging breast tumors which in various studies the overall sensitivity of 83%-95.8% and specificity of 52%-95% is reported. The purpose of our study was to evaluate the usefullness of 99mTc-MIBI SMM in our environment in detecting breast cancer and in reducing the rate of biopsy. 65 patients aged 23-70 years were included in this st...
متن کاملDetection of breast cancer using non-invasive X-ray diffraction technique of hair: A preliminary study
Background: An early diagnosis of breast cancer relates directly to an accurate treatment plan and strategy. Early detection of breast cancer before its development would be a significant reduction of morbidity and mortality rates. The aim of this preliminary study is to investigate the sensitivity of Wide Angle X-ray diffraction (WAXRD) method on women hair samples of healthy and breast cancer...

متن کاملImproving 3-D Imaging Breast Cancer Diagnosis Systems Using a New Method for Placement of Near-Infrared Sources and Detectors
The objective of this research was to improve 3-D imaging system by near-infrared light emission in breast tissue to achieve a more accurate diagnosis of tumor. The results of repeated experiments in this research have shown that with this imaging system, a more accurate diagnosis of abnormal area depends on the location of the sources and detectors. Therefore, an optimal location model has bee...
